Winner of Gracie Allen Awards for Outstanding Female Actor in a Guest Role, Sherri Shepherd is an actress from United States. She is also known for being a TV personality and a comedian. She has also established herself as an author. Best known for her buxom top-heavy frame, Sherri Shepherd was born as Sherri Evonne Shepherd in Chicago, Illinois, United States of America to LaVerne Shepherd and Lawrence Shepherd. She was born as the eldest child of her parents.

On 10th of March 2001, Sherri got married to Jeff Tarpley. Jeff Tarpley is an actor. He is famous for his role in Dead Man on Campus, Headache and so on. As a loving husband and wife, they welcomed a son named Jeffrey Charles Tarpley in 2005. This married life ended in a divorce on 7th of October 2010.On 26th December 2010, Lamar Sally proposed her. Lamar Sally is a TV writer. After few months of romantic love life, they finally got married on 13th of August 2011. Their wedding ceremony was held at the Fairmont Hotel in Chicago. Sherri has been active as an actress since 1995. She made her acting debut by starring the role of Victoria in an American sitcom Cleghorne!. Two years later, she appeared in the TV series like Claude’s Crib, Living Single and Suddenly Susan. At the end of 1990s, she was also seen in Friends, Holding the Baby, Everybody Loves Raymond and The Jamie Foxx Show. She made her feature film debut in 2000 by starring the role of Merci in the movie King of the Open Mics. Three years later, she appeared in an American comedy/mockumentary motion picture Pauly Shore Is Dead. She is best known in the world for being the host of an American talk show The View. In 2014, she appeared in the Broadway musical Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella.

Sherri has also established herself as a talented writer. As an author, she published her first book at the end of 2009. This book was titled Permission Slips: Every Woman’s Guide to Giving Herself a Break. In 2013, she co-authored a book titled Plan D: How to Lose Weight and Beat Diabetes.
