Pam Redwood-Harris is the President and Co-Founder of Signature Media Group Speakers (SMG Speakers), a full service speakers’ bureau that books, brands and manages national speaking talent for special events. SMG Speakers is located in the heart of Chicago’s West Loop. Under Pam’s leadership, SMG Speakers has quickly become one of the nation’s leading professional speakers’ bureaus—representing powerful speakers who inspire audiences through their story and impactful message. Pam’s inspirational story of entrepreneurship was recognized in Crain’s Chicago Business “Entrepreneurs in Action” series in 2012.
As the President of this top speakers’ bureau, Pam manages a diverse project portfolio–which includes strategic planning, business development and consulting. She has negotiated millions of dollars, increased brand awareness, and streamlined engagements for speakers. Pam’s guidance and resources in building a strong foundation for her clients has helped them launch successful speaking careers. Pam is a relationship builder and natural business connector who purposefully pairs speaking clients with organizations that align with their target market, brand and message. She approaches each speaker request carefully ensuring that the organization, audience, and speaker are satisfied as they are appropriately linked together to get the maximum benefit from each other.
Pam has assisted in developing speaking opportunities for the careers of many prominent celebrities, politicians, authors and news journalists, such as multi-media journalist Roland Martin; Daymond John of ABC’s Shark Tank; White House Correspondent April Ryan; former TV Show host Judge Glenda Hatchett and activist and world-renowned poet Nikki Giovanni.
Pam not only works with nationally recognized speakers, but she is passionate about developing aspiring and established speakers into national brands. After nearly a decade of industry experience, she launched a new branch to SMG Speakers in 2015, I Develop Speakers™, which provides strategic consultations and marketing services for professional speakers who want to take their career to the next level.
Not only is she a successful business leader, Pam is also a strong advocate of community involvement. She launched and co-founded “Operation Safe Passage,” a non-profit entity with a mission of saving, inspiring and enhancing the lives of youth. In 2011, SMG Speakers received the Community Service Award from the International Association of Speakers Bureaus. In her spare time, she volunteers and sponsors speakers and lectures for the Chicago Public Schools.
Pam holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Chicago State University. She also received her certification in Effective Presentation & Communication Skills from DePaul University. She is a 2014 recipient of the “40 Game Changers under the age of 40” award, presented by WVON & Ariel Capital Investments and a 2014 recipient of the Chicago State University Women Rock “EntreprenHer” award. Pam is an honorary member of Delta Mu Delta International Honor Society in Business and an active member of the International Association of Speakers Bureaus, The Executives Club of Chicago, and Meeting Professionals International.
